Hello, and welcome! With this post, I guess I've finally entered into the blogosphere. To be honest, it really has been a long time coming (as my Dad would gladly tell you). Hopefully this thing can turn into a constant source of information (and entertainment) for all of you...it's going to be a motley crew of politics, activism, music, food, travel posts, videos, and who knows what else. And it's going to be a fun time, I promise.
SO, FIRST POST. This "new" Sara Bareilles song "King of Anything" seems to be getting more and more airplay lately, and I'm obsessed. It's catchy, upbeat pop with a really good and strong message - it reminds me a lot of "Love Song," actually. I must admit that I don't know much of Sara's music - but I would imagine that this song must be one of her fans' favorites.
Now, I say "new" because "King of Anything" was actually released to radio stations back in May, and went on sale in June. It's the first single off Sara's third album,
Kaleidoscope Heart, and it's earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. So, forgive me if I'm way behind on this one. Like I said before though, it seems to be playing more on the radio these days (which is how I heard it for the first time a few weeks ago), so perhaps it's poised for a coming (re?)emergence.
If you haven't heard it already, you've got to. Here it is! The video is worth a watch, too.
